Did you know? Facebook has keyboard shortcuts!
Now you can "waste" your time even more efficiently using these keyboard shortcuts. Hitting Alt+M will take you to a new message option,Alt+the number keys(0-9) would take you to different options on the Facebook dashboard.A complete list (what I found) of the shorts cuts are given below:
ALT+?: Search
ALT+M:Compose a new message
ALT+ 1:Home page
ALT+ 2:Profile page
ALT+3:Friend requests
ALT+4:Messages
ALT+5:Notification
ALT+6:Account settings
ALT+7:Privacy
ALT+8:Official Facebook page
ALT+9:Terms and agreements
L:Like/Unlike photos in light box
If you are using Firefox you will have to add a SHIFT to each of the keys except for the like option.On the other hand if you are using Internet Explorer you will have to add an ENTER.The following table lists out the shortcut combinations for the major browsers:
