How to Add Guest Authors To Your Blogger Blog

Accepting guest bloggers or co-authors can help to improve your blog in a number of ways, be it in terms of traffic/SEO or be it in improving your relationship with fellow bloggers in the blogging community .It can also reduce your work load so you can spend more time to produce quality content for your blog. So it is always good to know how to add a guest blogger to your blog. In today’s tutorial we will look how to add or invite guest bloggers or co-authors to your blogger blog.

Adding Co-Authors/Guest Bloggers to Your Blogger Blog

Step 1: To add a Guest author to your blogger blog, first of all go to your blog’s dashboard.

Step 2: Select the option “Settings” and then select the “Basic” option which comes under “Settings".

Step 3: Now scroll down to the "Permissions" part of the basic settings. Click on the option “+Add Authors” as shown in the screenshot below.

You are not finished yet! After the above step your guest author will receive an invitation to be a guest blogger of your blog. Once he accepts your invitation you can see him as a new author in your blog. Here there is something important to note, that you can give the guest two kinds of privileges, they are:

a) Admin: The admin can edit or delete the posts by you and other guest bloggers if you have any.He/she can remove existing authors (can add new authors too). The admin also has the access to your blog's template settings. It is advised that you should consider only people you trust as the admin of your blog because an untrustworthy person can turn your blog upside down.

b) Author:
By default every new guest blogger will have the “Author” privilege. He can post new posts on his behalf and edit only his posts. He will not have access to the other settings like the template settings of your blog. It is always better to give this privilege, unless you trust the person very much.

You can grant Admin privilege by clicking the “Author” button and selecting “Admin” option from the drop down that comes upon your click, as shown in the picture below.Assign previlege to the new Guest Blogger

You can revoke the authorship/adminship at anytime by clicking on the "X" mark seen on the extreme right side of authors name.If you have any difficulties regarding the above, please don't hesitate to share with us in the comments.
