Click on the “Security” option. Then click on the “Deactivate Your Account” which can be found at the bottom of your screen.

Step 3: Be careful in the next few steps! Facebook plays around with the feelings of human mind by telling that your so and so friends will miss you on Facebook. Be bold and confirm that you want to deactivate your Facebook account. Facebook may sometimes ask for the reason of your deactivation, then select some reason of your choice.

Step 4: Opt out of Facebook notification emails. Check the box “Email opt out”. This will prevent Facebook from sending notification emails to your email id, which is very important to keep your Facebook habits away for some time.

Step 5: Finally click the “Deactivate button” and you are all done with deactivating your Facebook account.
