How to Adjust Video Settings in VLC Media Player

VLC media player is one of the most used media players in the world.The fact that it is opensource makes it even cooler.Most users are unaware of some useful features/adjustments of VLC player.You must be wondering what these adjustments are. VLC media player allows it’s users to adjust many parameters of the video you are watching.These parameters include video contrast, video sharpness, and it even allows you to magnify the video you are watching.

The steps required for making adjustments to videos in VLC media player are as follows:

Step 1: Open the video which you want to watch in VLC media player. Click on “Tools” section on the top most bar.

Step 2: Now select the “Effects and Filters” from the dropdown menu (A small dialog box will appear which includes the basic video settings and control bars which control the basic video parameters such as sharpness, contrast and more).Select “Video Effects” tab from that dialog box.

Step 3: Make changes, as you wish with the parameters such as sharpness, contrast, hue, brightness etc.
